General Lunch Box FAQ
They’re leak-proof for thicker foods (like yoghurt, custard, dips, and sauces) but not for runny liquids. Each lunch box lid has a silicone seal to help prevent leaks between compartments and into your lunch bag.
To avoid spills, we recommend draining watery fruits (like watermelon or citrus) and avoiding thin liquids like salad dressings or soups.

Care & Cleaning
We’ve made it as easy as possible—because no one has time for tricky cleaning routines! All MontiiCo lunch boxes are top-rack dishwasher safe, but we recommend using a cool or eco cycle (under 45°C) to keep them in great shape long term.
If you prefer to hand-wash, a soft brush and gentle dish soap will do the trick.
To keep your lunch box fresh and mould-free, the key is airflow. Always store it with the lid propped open, this allows the seal to dry completely and avoids any lingering smells or trapped moisture.

MontiiCo Lunch Boxes are not microwave safe. Our lunch boxes are made from durable, food-safe materials, but they aren’t designed to handle heat from the microwave.
Need to pack hot food? Pair your lunch box with a MontiiCo Food Jar to keep meals warm until lunch.
A little TLC goes a long way! To keep your lunch box leak-proof:
1. Only pack thicker foods like yoghurt or dips—avoid thin liquids.
2. Make sure food doesn’t sit above the compartment walls (a 5mm gap is ideal).
3. Press down on the lid after closing the latch to engage the silicone seal properly.
4. Keep your lunch box clean and dry—check the silicone seal for any trapped food or wear.

Yes! All of our lunch boxes are top-rack dishwasher safe, but we recommend sticking to a cool or eco cycle (under 45°C) to prevent warping.
Want to hand wash instead? Use warm soapy water and a soft brush. Check that all parts (especially the silicone seal) are dry before reassembling.
We don’t recommend it. Freezing your lunch box may cause the materials to warp or become brittle over time. It’s best to refrigerate your packed lunch overnight and add an Ice Pack to keep it cool on the go.

Yes! Every MontiiCo Lunch Box is backed by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. We stand by the quality of our products and want you to feel confident every time you pack a meal.
Our warranty covers any manufacturing faults that affect the performance of your lunch box, like issues with the seal, lid, base or latch. For the longest life, we recommend following our Care Instructions
