MontiiCo Original Bottles
Our original bottles have a wide mouth opening (4.7cm) which is perfect for popping icecubes in to keep your drink uber frosty! It does mean that younger children might need supervision while using their MontiiCo bottle though, or while they adjust to the wider opening – in case of spills. The screw top lid is easy to open and close, thanks to the cool handle that gives a little bit more leverage. We recommend Montii Original bottles for Children aged 4 and up. (And adults of course!)

Our bottles and cups are double walled – meaning NO condensation forms on the outside of the bottle. None. Zilch. Nada. No need for a coaster on your desk, no damp inside your handbag – and best of all – no drips on your shirt while you swig from Montii on your way to the beach!
All of our drink bottles are double-walled, vacuum insulated (also known as thermally insulated), meaning they are suitable for hot and cold drinks – perfect for year round use. The wide mouth opening does mean you need to be EXTRA careful with hot liquids.
MontiiCo bottles provide 12 hours of warming. Some tips to get max warming:
Pre warm the bottle just prior to use with boiling water. Attach lid and let stand for 10 minutes, then empty
After pre warming, fill your bottle, and replace lid for maximum insulation efficiency
Keep lid in place as much as possible to keep your beverage warm
WARNING: Always exercise caution with hot beverages to avoid burns and scalds. Wide mouth bottles are NOT recommended for use to serve hot beverages to children.
MontiiCo bottles are made from Stainless Steel (18/8 and 304), with a kid safe, scratch and dent resistant finish. Our original lid is also Stainless Steel, with an engraved bamboo topper and small silicone ring to ensure a water-tight seal.
Our sports lid 2.0, sipper lid and free pour lids are made from BPA-free polypropylene (pp#5).
The MontiiCo smoothie cups are made from Stainless Steel (18/8 and 304), with the same kid safe, scratch and dent resistant finish. The lid on our smoothie cups has a BPA-free polypropylene (pp#5) inner.
Our products are constructed with durable, long-lasting materials to ensure a consistent high level of quality.
Our products have a manufacturer's warranty of six months. This covers any manufacturing defects such as issues with parts or materials, with proof of purchase. Wear and tear, and care issues including ripping, spills, mould and stains (i.e issues NOT caused by a fault in the manufacturing process) are not covered under manufacturer warranty.

We may ask that you return your items so that we can conduct a thorough investigation before a replacement/refund is given.
Wash and rinse bottle thoroughly before first use, and after each use. Hand washing is recommended for best results.
Our Bottles and Cups are dishwasher safe to 70°C, excluding the bamboo lid. Our sports lid 2.0, sipper lid 2.0 and free pour lids are top-shelf dishwasher safe.
Please refer to the cleaning instructions on your MontiiCo product packaging. Older Bottles and Cups may not be made with our dishwasher safe paint and will not be suitable for the dishwasher - this can damage the finish and void your warranty. If you are unsure of whether or not your product is dishwasher safe - please get in touch before washing so that we can advise.
Bamboo is a renewable natural product, there will always be natural variations in colour, tone and grain ensuring no two MontiiCo bottle lids look exactly the same.
NEVER put the bamboo lid in the dishwasher. Putting your bamboo lid in the dishwasher WILL damage the finish and void your warranty. Hand wash only and always air dry thoroughly.
Always store your MontiiCo bottles and cups empty, and completely dry inside. We recommend storing your empty bottles without the lid affixed.
All MontiiCo products are made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. This food-grade stainless steel is highly rust resistant, as well as safe, durable and BPA-free. Sometimes marks can be left behind from the electropolishing process which smooths the surface of the metal as electrolytes left on the surface can turn a rust colour, but this is perfectly normal and harmless.
To remove residue, we recommend that you leave your bottle/cup/food jar to soak overnight with hot water and baking soda or white vinegar. After soaking, give your bottle/cup/food jar a really good scrub using a bottle brush or a scouring pad. Let us know how you get on after trying this method!
If you hear a rattle in your bottle, it can be one of two things: either the weld (or a piece of it) that retains the integrity of the vacuum space has become dislodged and is now rattling in the space between the double wall insulation, or a small piece of metal called the “getter” has broken free and is now moving about freely at the base of your bottle. You can continue to use your bottle normally, it is still completely safe.
Both of these components have their respective functions within the internal walls of the bottle. A loose getter will not affect the insulation properties of the bottle whereas a broken weld or piece of it can potentially render the insulation useless because the vacuum seal can be compromised.
To check if the vacuum seal is still in tact, first ensure your bottle is completely empty and dry, then place you ear next to the opening and listen for a humming sound. If you can hear it, your seal is still in tact!

With normal wear and tear and daily use, paint can chip as a result of abrasion, scratching and impact (i.e. bottles falling out of a bag, etc.) The paint MontiiCo uses is an acrylic-based that is lead free, BPA-free and free from toxic chemicals.
If paint is flaking or peeling off, please submit a warranty claim and we'll investigate the issue.
To reduce wear and tear and prolong the life of your MontiiCo bottles and cups, we recommend hand washing painted bottles with mild, biodegradable detergent. The high water pressure and temperature in dishwashers can cause painted bottles to chip over time.
To make an Insulated MontiiCo bottle, we first construct an inner and outer bottle, which are sealed together and welded shut to be completely air-tight. Then the bottle is connected to a high-power vacuum pump which removes all the air from the gap in between the inner and outer bottle. Since there’s nothing to conduct heat across the gap, vacuum insulation is more effective than foam or other common insulating materials like Styrofoam, a derivative of plastic. Vacuum insulation works so well, it is the technology of choice for cryogenic storage tanks and other high-performance insulating vessels. Our vacuum insulated bottle can keep your beverages hot or cold for hours and hours.
MontiiCo products are made from durable 18/8 stainless steel. The stainless steel that we use to manufacture our products is the same grade that is used most commonly in the food, beer and wine industries because it is easy to clean, durable, and does not impart flavours or leach chemicals into the beverage contents.
If you have a metal allergy or sensitive palate, you may detect a metallic taste. Please let us know what product and cap you’re using – sometimes swapping out the lid to a Sports lid is a great solution, since those caps are Polypropylene and create a barrier between your mouth and the bottle itself.
We also recommend soaking your bottle overnight with hot water and baking soda. Follow the soak with a good scrub using a bottle brush or the abrasive side of a dish scouring pad aided by a wooden spoon or other kitchen utensil for leverage. This usually works to remove any lingering tastes/ residues.
No. The force of liquids expanding as they freeze can cause your MontiiCo bottle to become deformed and can also break the weld that holds the bottle together, so we strongly advise against it. Freezing any MontiiCo bottle or cup will void your manufacturers warranty.
MontiiCo products are made of durable 18/8 stainless steel. Unfortunately, they can dent when dropped. Our warranty covers manufacturer's defects only, not damage caused by using or dropping your bottle.
Even if you've dented your bottle, it's still totally safe to continue to use. With no plastic liner on the inside, a dent, no matter how large, will not change the composition of the metal nor make it unsafe.
No. All MontiiCo products are made from high quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel. Stainless steel is naturally free of BPA and other harmful substances.
Stainless steel is inherently safe for food and beverage contact; plastic or epoxy linings are not necessary. This is one of the main differences between a stainless steel MontiiCo and aluminum bottles. All aluminum bottles must have a liner to maintain the integrity of the contents inside the bottle; otherwise, the aluminum leaches into the contents, which is unsafe.
Stainless steel is an iron-containing alloy made from some of the basic elements found on earth: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen and manganese. The properties of the final metal change depending on varying amounts of these elements. There are over 150 grades of stainless steel, of which 15 are most commonly used.
MontiiCo products are constructed from high-quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel. The numbers stand for the percentages of chromium and nickel in the steel, 18% and 8% respectively. Chromium increases the metal's hardness and nickel gives it strength. Together they also make stainless steel highly resistant to stain or rust.

Yes. Acidic beverages will not corrode or damage the high-quality stainless steel.
Absolutely. Your MontiiCo is food-grade stainless steel, which is safe and will not retain or impart flavours.
Heating an MontiiCo bottle or cup is not advised, will damage the painted finish and bottle, and voids the warranty.
You can use our Insulated Tumblers for fizzy/carbonated drinks!
We don't recommend using carbonated drinks in your MontiiCo bottle, as the pressure build up and may cause injury depending on how the bottle is being stored and which lid is being used.
Yes! The original, sports 2.0, sipper 2.0 and free pour lids are interchangeable. How rad is that?!

Every satchel parcel sent by us is trackable from lodgement to delivery. In the rare circumstance that a parcel is missing, we will launch an investigation with the delivery service to locate it. Investigation times vary by service and the resolution will depend on the report findings.

In the unlikely event your item is defective or damaged on arrival, please contact us within 48 hours and we will do our best to rectify the situation. All items are checked and cross checked before packing.
If you change your mind on an unwashed and unused item you are welcome to post back for an exchange. Once we confirm the item is still in brand new condition, a credit for the item’s value less our restocking fee will be added to your account on our website for you to purchase an exchange. Postage costs associated with returning and receiving the new item, and the item price difference, are wholly the customers. We do not refund for change of mind.
Faulty or incorrect goods are welcomed to be returned for a replacement. Please contact us for details on how to exchange. We have our own returns portal where we can cover the return postage in this instance.

A ‘pre-order’ is an item of high demand that is on backorder and is in transit to us from our manufacturer. Pre-order items have an ‘estimated release date’ which is the date given to us by the shipper for when it will arrive to us. The ‘estimated release date’ is advertised on the listing. Stock can arrive earlier, or later, than the ‘estimated’ date that is given. Customs and transit delays are unforeseen and unpredictable but sometimes do occur which can delay items arriving.

Yes! All MontiiCo lunch bags come with an ice pack included. Our self-contained gel ice pack has been independently certified “food safe”. It comes in its own cosy black cover and fits like a dream in our cool bags.
Each MontiiCo lunch bag size (Large, Medium and Mini) comes with a different size ice pack designed to fit each bag.
Our Insulated Cooler Bags come with a Medium ice pack.

Always place the included ice pack inside the black fabric ice pack cover before using inside the lunch bag. The cover is designed to reduce the amount of condensation that forms inside the bag, and assist in keeping lunches dry and fresh.
Cutlery and other sharp items should not be stored in your lunch bag, as this may damage the lining of your bag, and is not covered by warranty.
Your ice pack should be frozen flat and nude (Remove the black ice pack cover). Should you notice water or ice on the outside of the cover, we recommend airing it out and only placing inside the bag if 100% dry. Placing a wet or icy cover inside the bag will increase condensation and may make your lunch or the lunch bag wet.
For maximum cooling power, ensure the lunch bag is completely zipped closed as much as possible. Small changes such as removing the lunch box from the bag to eat from it (rather than leaving the whole bag unzipped for lunch time) can dramatically increase the amount of cold air that stays inside the bag.
When you are finished using your lunch bag, wipe it clean and stand upright to dry thoroughly. Our bags can be machine washed, and doing so regularly may prolong the life of your bag - by removing any embedded dirt or food particles from the fabric.
Yep, they sure do! The ice pack comes in its own cosy black cover and fits like a dream in our cool bags, in a separate ice pack pocket. No condensation means no soggy food!

MontiiCo bags are cool, real cool! Here's some tips to make sure the coolness stays in!
Be sure to keep the bag zipped up closed whenever possible so ensure the coolness stays inside the bag and doesn’t mix with the outside hot temperature.
Ensure your ice pack is fully frozen before placing in the lunch bag. Overnight should suffice, or you can just store it in the freezer when not in use.

We recommend unpacking your lunch bag as soon as you are finished using it, and wiping the interior of the cooler bag with a damp cloth to remove any crumbs or spills. This includes removing the ice pack.
If a spill occurs in a lunchbox or lunch bag we recommend cleaning it as quickly as possible.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning will extend the life of your bag by removing dirt and food particles from within the fabric before they grow into mould.
Our lunch bags are machine washable - so it couldn’t be easier to keep them clean! They’re a little shy and need to be washed on their own, in cold water, on a gentle, longer cycle. Fast cycles tend to have a vigorous spin which can damage the lunch bag.
Normal detergent is fine, but please don’t put in any fabric softeners or stain removal products as this may discolour your bag. Do not bleach, soak or iron.
If your usual wash doesn’t remove staining, make a paste from laundry powder and water and apply it directly to the stained area. Gently brush into the stain, taking care not to damage the fabric. Leave for 15-20 minutes before machine washing.
Drying
Bags should be dried standing (like a tent!) or flat and open - fabric side up. We love to dry ours outside on the washing line! Please don’t put your bag in the dryer! It may shrink, melt or come back looking nothing like it did before.
Your cooler bag is going to be the envy of everyone on the block! Labeling me is a sure thing!
All MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bags come with a cardboard name tag that fits inside a plastic sleeve within the bag. Our Cooler Bags do not have a name tag sleeve.
Alternatively, you can use a sticker name tag (we find the ones with rounded covers are more effective). Do NOT use iron on labels as this can melt the foam lining in your lunch bag. Otherwise use a bag tag that can be clipped on to personalise your child’s bag.
Generally, the bags will work as your home fridge does. If you put something frozen in either the fridge or a MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bag, it will gradually thaw, but this melting process will take longer than if you were to just leave it out on the counter.

Yes! Our ice packs are certified as food safe by the FDA and CE. We can provide copies of the certificates, and a material safety data sheet for international shipping if required.
MontiCo do not treat our lunch bags with anti-mould or anti-staining treatments as these can be quite toxic.
Mould can't grow without moisture, so remember to ensure your bag is 100% dry before storing!
Sunlight is mould’s worst enemy - so hanging your lunch bag up to dry outside is a great way to prevent mould! Alternatively your lunch bag can be left to air dry overnight - try standing it on the bench (or an empty dish rack) to allow adequate air flow to thoroughly dry the bag.
If you do find mould on your lunch bag - don’t panic! Mould can grow anywhere as long as it has moisture, food and warmth - on carpet, clothing, food, paper, even walls. That means your lunch bag doesn’t need to be visibly dirty for mould to take hold, only a small amount of food needs to be present for mould to grow.
We challenged our product developers to put our lunch bags to the ultimate mould test! They soaked the bags in milk and left them in the kind of warm, dark conditions that mould thrives in. Although they were successful in growing mould on the outside of all the bags, there was no trace of mould inside any of the bags! That means that your food will stay squeaky clean and safe even if your lunch bag doesn't.
How do I use my ice pack?
Always place the included ice pack inside the black fabric ice pack cover before using it inside the lunch bag. The cover is designed to reduce the amount of condensation that forms inside the bag, and assist in keeping lunches dry and fresh.
Your ice pack should be frozen flat and nude (by removing the black ice pack cover). Should you notice water or ice on the outside of the cover, we recommend airing it out and only placing it inside the lunch bag once it’s 100% dry. Placing a wet or icy cover inside a lunch bag will increase condensation and may make your lunch or the lunch bag wet.
What are the new 2.0 ice packs made from?
Our new 2.0 ice packs are still the same on the inside, but now have a much stronger and durable nylon outer material.
Are these ice packs condensation free?
Yes they are - they have a condensation free outer layer. Remember to place the ice pack in its cover once you take it out of the freezer!
Is the cooler gel still the same?
We haven’t changed our gel which still stays frozen for most of the day in your lunch bag!
Is the gel non toxic?
Yes - the gel is independently certified “food safe” and non-toxic.
Are they the same size as the clear ice packs?
Yes they are - we haven’t changed the size or weight of the ice packs so they will perform just as well.
Does it still come with a cover?
Yes - all our ice packs come with a machine washable cover included to absorb any condensation.
How long is the warranty on the gel packs?
All our MontiiCo products have a 6 month warranty from date of purchase.
How long do these ice packs stay frozen for?
Depending on a few factors like where you live, how many times you open your lunch bag and for how long - our gel packs often come back still partially frozen after school!
How do I clean my gel pack?
A quick wipe with some soapy water will keep your ice pack clean. Ensure the ice pack is dry before putting it back in the freezer.

We recommend pre-warming your Food Jar, just prior to use with boiling water. Rest the lid on top of the jar and let stand for 10 minutes, then empty. After pre-warming, fill your food jar and attach the lid for maximum insulation efficiency Keep lid in place as much as possible to keep your food warm. WARNING: Always exercise caution with hot foods to avoid burns and scalds. We do! We understand that parts from your MontiiCo Food Jar may become lost, so have replacement handles, bumpers and seals. We love our Insulated Food Jars. They keep lunches nice and warm even with an hour bus ride to school. The kids love to take pasta to warm them up on cold days.
Love this product, my son can take warm food for lunch … gives us a break from boring sandwiches. So far we’ve tried Noodles, fried rice, pasta … all stayed hot for lunch in the Food Jar. Love it.
These are so good. I particularly like the handle, it makes it so much easier to open. Our original bottles have a wide mouth opening (4.7cm) which is perfect for popping icecubes in to keep your drink uber frosty! It does mean that younger children might need supervision while using their MontiiCo bottle though, or while they adjust to the wider opening – in case of spills. The screw top lid is easy to open and close, thanks to the cool handle that gives a little bit more leverage. We recommend Montii Original bottles for Children aged 4 and up. (And adults of course!)

If you hear a rattle in your bottle, it can be one of two things: either the weld (or a piece of it) that retains the integrity of the vacuum space has become dislodged and is now rattling in the space between the double wall insulation, or a small piece of metal called the “getter” has broken free and is now moving about freely at the base of your bottle. You can continue to use your bottle normally, it is still completely safe.
Both of these components have their respective functions within the internal walls of the bottle. A loose getter will not affect the insulation properties of the bottle whereas a broken weld or piece of it can potentially render the insulation useless because the vacuum seal can be compromised.
To check if the vacuum seal is still in tact, first ensure your bottle is completely empty and dry, then place you ear next to the opening and listen for a humming sound. If you can hear it, your seal is still in tact!

With normal wear and tear and daily use, paint can chip as a result of abrasion, scratching and impact (i.e. bottles falling out of a bag, etc.) The paint MontiiCo uses is an acrylic-based that is lead free, BPA-free and free from toxic chemicals.
If paint is flaking or peeling off, please submit a warranty claim and we'll investigate the issue.
To reduce wear and tear and prolong the life of your MontiiCo bottles and cups, we recommend hand washing painted bottles with mild, biodegradable detergent. The high water pressure and temperature in dishwashers can cause painted bottles to chip over time.
To make an Insulated MontiiCo bottle, we first construct an inner and outer bottle, which are sealed together and welded shut to be completely air-tight. Then the bottle is connected to a high-power vacuum pump which removes all the air from the gap in between the inner and outer bottle. Since there’s nothing to conduct heat across the gap, vacuum insulation is more effective than foam or other common insulating materials like Styrofoam, a derivative of plastic. Vacuum insulation works so well, it is the technology of choice for cryogenic storage tanks and other high-performance insulating vessels. Our vacuum insulated bottle can keep your beverages hot or cold for hours and hours.
MontiiCo products are made from durable 18/8 stainless steel. The stainless steel that we use to manufacture our products is the same grade that is used most commonly in the food, beer and wine industries because it is easy to clean, durable, and does not impart flavours or leach chemicals into the beverage contents.
If you have a metal allergy or sensitive palate, you may detect a metallic taste. Please let us know what product and cap you’re using – sometimes swapping out the lid to a Sports lid is a great solution, since those caps are Polypropylene and create a barrier between your mouth and the bottle itself.
We also recommend soaking your bottle overnight with hot water and baking soda. MontiiCo products are made of durable 18/8 stainless steel. Unfortunately, they can dent when dropped. Our warranty covers manufacturer's defects only, not damage caused by using or dropping your bottle.
Even if you've dented your bottle, it's still totally safe to continue to use. With no plastic liner on the inside, a dent, no matter how large, will not change the composition of the metal nor make it unsafe.

Always place the included ice pack inside the black fabric ice pack cover before using inside the lunch bag. The cover is designed to reduce the amount of condensation that forms inside the bag, and assist in keeping lunches dry and fresh.
Cutlery and other sharp items should not be stored in your lunch bag, as this may damage the lining of your bag, and is not covered by warranty.
Your ice pack should be frozen flat and nude (Remove the black ice pack cover). Should you notice water or ice on the outside of the cover, we recommend airing it out and only placing inside the bag if 100% dry. Placing a wet or icy cover inside the bag will increase condensation and may make your lunch or the lunch bag wet.
For maximum cooling power, ensure the lunch bag is completely zipped closed as much as possible. Small changes such as removing the lunch box from the bag to eat from it (rather than leaving the whole bag unzipped for lunch time) can dramatically increase the amount of cold air that stays inside the bag.
When you are finished using your lunch bag, wipe it clean and stand upright to dry thoroughly. Our bags can be machine washed, and doing so regularly may prolong the life of your bag - by removing any embedded dirt or food particles from the fabric.

Be sure to keep the bag zipped up closed whenever possible so ensure the coolness stays inside the bag and doesn’t mix with the outside hot temperature.
Ensure your ice pack is fully frozen before placing in the lunch bag. Overnight should suffice, or you can just store it in the freezer when not in use.

We recommend unpacking your lunch bag as soon as you are finished using it, and wiping the interior of the cooler bag with a damp cloth to remove any crumbs or spills. This includes removing the ice pack.
If a spill occurs in a lunchbox or lunch bag we recommend cleaning it as quickly as possible.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning will extend the life of your bag by removing dirt and food particles from within the fabric before they grow into mould.
Our lunch bags are machine washable - so it couldn’t be easier to keep them clean! They’re a little shy and need to be washed on their own, in cold water, on a gentle, longer cycle. Fast cycles tend to have a vigorous spin which can damage the lunch bag.
Normal detergent is fine, but please don’t put in any fabric softeners or stain removal products as this may discolour your bag. Do not bleach, soak or iron.
If your usual wash doesn’t remove staining, make a paste from laundry powder and water and apply it directly to the stained area. Gently brush into the stain, taking care not to damage the fabric. Leave for 15-20 minutes before machine washing.
Drying
Bags should be dried standing (like a tent!) or flat and open - fabric side up. We love to dry ours outside on the washing line! Please don’t put your bag in the dryer! It may shrink, melt or come back looking nothing like it did before.
Your cooler bag is going to be the envy of everyone on the block! Labeling me is a sure thing!
All MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bags come with a cardboard name tag that fits inside a plastic sleeve within the bag. Our Cooler Bags do not have a name tag sleeve.
Alternatively, you can use a sticker name tag (we find the ones with rounded covers are more effective). Do NOT use iron on labels as this can melt the foam lining in your lunch bag. Otherwise use a bag tag that can be clipped on to personalise your child’s bag.
Generally, the bags will work as your home fridge does. If you put something frozen in either the fridge or a MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bag, it will gradually thaw, but this melting process will take longer than if you were to just leave it out on the counter.
Our products are constructed with durable, long-lasting materials to ensure a consistent high level of quality.
Our products have a manufacturer's warranty for six months. This covers any manufacturing defects such as issues with parts or materials, with proof of purchase. Wear and tear, and care issues including ripping, spills and stains (i.e issues NOT caused by a fault in the manufacturing process) are not covered under manufacturer warranty.

Yes! Our ice packs are certified as food safe by the FDA and CE. We can provide copies of the certificates, and a material safety data sheet for international shipping if required.
MontiCo do not treat our lunch bags with anti-mould or anti-staining treatments as these can be quite toxic.
Mould can't grow without moisture, so remember to ensure your bag is 100% dry before storing!
Sunlight is mould’s worst enemy - so hanging your lunch bag up to dry outside is a great way to prevent mould! Alternatively your lunch bag can be left to air dry overnight - try standing it on the bench (or an empty dish rack) to allow adequate air flow to thoroughly dry the bag.
If you do find mould on your lunch bag - don’t panic! Mould can grow anywhere as long as it has moisture, food and warmth - on carpet, clothing, food, paper, even walls. That means your lunch bag doesn’t need to be visibly dirty for mould to take hold, only a small amount of food needs to be present for mould to grow.
We challenged our product developers to put our lunch bags to the ultimate mould test! They soaked the bags in milk and left them in the kind of warm, dark conditions that mould thrives in. Although they were successful in growing mould on the outside of all the bags, there was no trace of mould inside any of the bags! That means that your food will stay squeaky clean and safe even if your lunch bag doesn't.
How do I use my ice pack?

We haven’t changed our gel which still stays frozen for most of the day in your lunch bag!

Incredible long lasting ice pack, and a good small size for little kids out and about snacks. But the zippers are very hard to open and close, very jarred & stuck, impossible for a kid, tricky for an adult.
Our 4 boys use one of these each filled with their snacks whenever we’re out and about. No more fighting over snacks when they’ve each got their own stash. Bag is excellent quality and I love the addition of the ice pack that goes in the back pocket. Genius! We can fit 3-4 snacks in these, depending on what it is, etc. I loved these so much that I even bought the large size ones (different prints though) for my two eldest for their school lunch boxes.

Our original bottles have a wide mouth opening (4.7cm) which is perfect for popping icecubes in to keep your drink uber frosty! It does mean that younger children might need supervision while using their MontiiCo bottle though, or while they adjust to the wider opening – in case of spills. The screw top lid is easy to open and close, thanks to the cool handle that gives a little bit more leverage. We recommend Montii Original bottles for Children aged 4 and up. (And adults of course!)

Our bottles and cups are double walled – meaning NO condensation forms on the outside of the bottle. None. Zilch. Nada. No need for a coaster on your desk, no damp inside your handbag – and best of all – no drips on your shirt while you swig from Montii on your way to the beach!
All of our drink bottles are double-walled, vacuum insulated (also known as thermally insulated), meaning they are suitable for hot and cold drinks – perfect for year round use. The wide mouth opening does mean you need to be EXTRA careful with hot liquids.
MontiiCo bottles provide 12 hours of warming. Some tips to get max warming:
Pre warm the bottle just prior to use with boiling water. Attach lid and let stand for 10 minutes, then empty
After pre warming, fill your bottle, and replace lid for maximum insulation efficiency
Keep lid in place as much as possible to keep your beverage warm
WARNING: Always exercise caution with hot beverages to avoid burns and scalds. Wide mouth bottles are NOT recommended for use to serve hot beverages to children.

Wash and rinse bottle thoroughly before first use, and after each use. Hand washing is recommended for best results.
Our Bottles and Cups are dishwasher safe to 70°C, excluding the bamboo lid. Our sports lid 2.0, sipper lid 2.0 and free pour lids are top-shelf dishwasher safe.
Please refer to the cleaning instructions on your MontiiCo product packaging. Older Bottles and Cups may not be made with our dishwasher safe paint and will not be suitable for the dishwasher - this can damage the finish and void your warranty. If you are unsure of whether or not your product is dishwasher safe - please get in touch before washing so that we can advise.
Bamboo is a renewable natural product, there will always be natural variations in colour, tone and grain ensuring no two MontiiCo bottle lids look exactly the same.
NEVER put the bamboo lid in the dishwasher. Putting your bamboo lid in the dishwasher WILL damage the finish and void your warranty. Hand wash only and always air dry thoroughly.
Always store your MontiiCo bottles and cups empty, and completely dry inside. We recommend storing your empty bottles without the lid affixed.
All MontiiCo products are made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. This food-grade stainless steel is highly rust resistant, as well as safe, durable and BPA-free. Sometimes marks can be left behind from the electropolishing process which smooths the surface of the metal as electrolytes left on the surface can turn a rust colour, but this is perfectly normal and harmless.
To remove residue, we recommend that you leave your bottle/cup/food jar to soak overnight with hot water and baking soda or white vinegar. After soaking, give your bottle/cup/food jar a really good scrub using a bottle brush or a scouring pad. Let us know how you get on after trying this method!
If you hear a rattle in your bottle, it can be one of two things: either the weld (or a piece of it) that retains the integrity of the vacuum space has become dislodged and is now rattling in the space between the double wall insulation, or a small piece of metal called the “getter” has broken free and is now moving about freely at the base of your bottle. You can continue to use your bottle normally, it is still completely safe.
Both of these components have their respective functions within the internal walls of the bottle. A loose getter will not affect the insulation properties of the bottle whereas a broken weld or piece of it can potentially render the insulation useless because the vacuum seal can be compromised.
To check if the vacuum seal is still in tact, first ensure your bottle is completely empty and dry, then place you ear next to the opening and listen for a humming sound. If you can hear it, your seal is still in tact!

With normal wear and tear and daily use, paint can chip as a result of abrasion, scratching and impact (i.e. bottles falling out of a bag, etc.) The paint MontiiCo uses is an acrylic-based that is lead free, BPA-free and free from toxic chemicals.
If paint is flaking or peeling off, please submit a warranty claim and we'll investigate the issue.
To reduce wear and tear and prolong the life of your MontiiCo bottles and cups, we recommend hand washing painted bottles with mild, biodegradable detergent. The high water pressure and temperature in dishwashers can cause painted bottles to chip over time.
To make an Insulated MontiiCo bottle, we first construct an inner and outer bottle, which are sealed together and welded shut to be completely air-tight. Then the bottle is connected to a high-power vacuum pump which removes all the air from the gap in between the inner and outer bottle. Since there’s nothing to conduct heat across the gap, vacuum insulation is more effective than foam or other common insulating materials like Styrofoam, a derivative of plastic. Vacuum insulation works so well, it is the technology of choice for cryogenic storage tanks and other high-performance insulating vessels. Our vacuum insulated bottle can keep your beverages hot or cold for hours and hours.
MontiiCo products are made from durable 18/8 stainless steel. The stainless steel that we use to manufacture our products is the same grade that is used most commonly in the food, beer and wine industries because it is easy to clean, durable, and does not impart flavours or leach chemicals into the beverage contents.
If you have a metal allergy or sensitive palate, you may detect a metallic taste. Please let us know what product and cap you’re using – sometimes swapping out the lid to a Sports lid is a great solution, since those caps are Polypropylene and create a barrier between your mouth and the bottle itself.
We also recommend soaking your bottle overnight with hot water and baking soda. Follow the soak with a good scrub using a bottle brush or the abrasive side of a dish scouring pad aided by a wooden spoon or other kitchen utensil for leverage. This usually works to remove any lingering tastes/ residues.
No. The force of liquids expanding as they freeze can cause your MontiiCo bottle to become deformed and can also break the weld that holds the bottle together, so we strongly advise against it. Freezing any MontiiCo bottle or cup will void your manufacturers warranty.
MontiiCo products are made of durable 18/8 stainless steel. Unfortunately, they can dent when dropped. Our warranty covers manufacturer's defects only, not damage caused by using or dropping your bottle.
Even if you've dented your bottle, it's still totally safe to continue to use. With no plastic liner on the inside, a dent, no matter how large, will not change the composition of the metal nor make it unsafe.
No. All MontiiCo products are made from high quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel. Stainless steel is naturally free of BPA and other harmful substances.
Stainless steel is inherently safe for food and beverage contact; plastic or epoxy linings are not necessary. This is one of the main differences between a stainless steel MontiiCo and aluminum bottles. All aluminum bottles must have a liner to maintain the integrity of the contents inside the bottle; otherwise, the aluminum leaches into the contents, which is unsafe.

After trying every other drink bottle I could get my hands on & my son breaking every single one this montiico drink bottle is the only one that has been able to endure how rough he can be. It still looks brand new and I love how it holds the temperature so if I put ice in it the water stays cold all day! Will definitely be trying more montiico products in future!

Always place the included ice pack inside the black fabric ice pack cover before using inside the lunch bag. The cover is designed to reduce the amount of condensation that forms inside the bag, and assist in keeping lunches dry and fresh.
Cutlery and other sharp items should not be stored in your lunch bag, as this may damage the lining of your bag, and is not covered by warranty.
Your ice pack should be frozen flat and nude (Remove the black ice pack cover). Should you notice water or ice on the outside of the cover, we recommend airing it out and only placing inside the bag if 100% dry. Placing a wet or icy cover inside the bag will increase condensation and may make your lunch or the lunch bag wet.
For maximum cooling power, ensure the lunch bag is completely zipped closed as much as possible. Small changes such as removing the lunch box from the bag to eat from it (rather than leaving the whole bag unzipped for lunch time) can dramatically increase the amount of cold air that stays inside the bag.
When you are finished using your lunch bag, wipe it clean and stand upright to dry thoroughly. Our bags can be machine washed, and doing so regularly may prolong the life of your bag - by removing any embedded dirt or food particles from the fabric.
Yep, they sure do! The ice pack comes in its own cosy black cover and fits like a dream in our cool bags, in a separate ice pack pocket. No condensation means no soggy food!

MontiiCo bags are cool, real cool! Here's some tips to make sure the coolness stays in!
Be sure to keep the bag zipped up closed whenever possible so ensure the coolness stays inside the bag and doesn’t mix with the outside hot temperature.
Ensure your ice pack is fully frozen before placing in the lunch bag. Overnight should suffice, or you can just store it in the freezer when not in use.

We recommend unpacking your lunch bag as soon as you are finished using it, and wiping the interior of the cooler bag with a damp cloth to remove any crumbs or spills. This includes removing the ice pack.
If a spill occurs in a lunchbox or lunch bag we recommend cleaning it as quickly as possible.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning will extend the life of your bag by removing dirt and food particles from within the fabric before they grow into mould.
Our lunch bags are machine washable - so it couldn’t be easier to keep them clean! They’re a little shy and need to be washed on their own, in cold water, on a gentle, longer cycle. Fast cycles tend to have a vigorous spin which can damage the lunch bag.
Normal detergent is fine, but please don’t put in any fabric softeners or stain removal products as this may discolour your bag. Do not bleach, soak or iron.
If your usual wash doesn’t remove staining, make a paste from laundry powder and water and apply it directly to the stained area. Gently brush into the stain, taking care not to damage the fabric. Leave for 15-20 minutes before machine washing.
Drying
Bags should be dried standing (like a tent!) or flat and open - fabric side up. We love to dry ours outside on the washing line! Please don’t put your bag in the dryer! It may shrink, melt or come back looking nothing like it did before.
Your cooler bag is going to be the envy of everyone on the block! Labeling me is a sure thing!
All MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bags come with a cardboard name tag that fits inside a plastic sleeve within the bag. Our Cooler Bags do not have a name tag sleeve.
Alternatively, you can use a sticker name tag (we find the ones with rounded covers are more effective). Do NOT use iron on labels as this can melt the foam lining in your lunch bag. Otherwise use a bag tag that can be clipped on to personalise your child’s bag.
Generally, the bags will work as your home fridge does. If you put something frozen in either the fridge or a MontiiCo Insulated Lunch Bag, it will gradually thaw, but this melting process will take longer than if you were to just leave it out on the counter.
Our products are constructed with durable, long-lasting materials to ensure a consistent high level of quality.
Our products have a manufacturer's warranty for six months. This covers any manufacturing defects such as issues with parts or materials, with proof of purchase. Wear and tear, and care issues including ripping, spills and stains (i.e issues NOT caused by a fault in the manufacturing process) are not covered under manufacturer warranty.

Yes! Our ice packs are certified as food safe by the FDA and CE. We can provide copies of the certificates, and a material safety data sheet for international shipping if required.
MontiCo do not treat our lunch bags with anti-mould or anti-staining treatments as these can be quite toxic.
Mould can't grow without moisture, so remember to ensure your bag is 100% dry before storing!
Sunlight is mould’s worst enemy - so hanging your lunch bag up to dry outside is a great way to prevent mould! Alternatively your lunch bag can be left to air dry overnight - try standing it on the bench (or an empty dish rack) to allow adequate air flow to thoroughly dry the bag.
If you do find mould on your lunch bag - don’t panic! Mould can grow anywhere as long as it has moisture, food and warmth - on carpet, clothing, food, paper, even walls. That means your lunch bag doesn’t need to be visibly dirty for mould to take hold, only a small amount of food needs to be present for mould to grow.
We challenged our product developers to put our lunch bags to the ultimate mould test! They soaked the bags in milk and left them in the kind of warm, dark conditions that mould thrives in. Although they were successful in growing mould on the outside of all the bags, there was no trace of mould inside any of the bags! That means that your food will stay squeaky clean and safe even if your lunch bag doesn't.
How do I use my ice pack?

Our new 2.0 ice packs are still the same on the inside, but now have a much stronger and durable nylon outer material.
Are these ice packs condensation free?
Yes they are - they have a condensation free outer layer. Remember to place the ice pack in its cover once you take it out of the freezer!
Is the cooler gel still the same?
We haven’t changed our gel which still stays frozen for most of the day in your lunch bag!
Is the gel non toxic?
Yes - the gel is independently certified “food safe” and non-toxic.
Are they the same size as the clear ice packs?
Yes they are - we haven’t changed the size or weight of the ice packs so they will perform just as well.
Does it still come with a cover?
Yes - all our ice packs come with a machine washable cover included to absorb any condensation.
How long is the warranty on the gel packs?
All our MontiiCo products have a 6 month warranty from date of purchase.
How long do these ice packs stay frozen for?
Depending on a few factors like where you live, how many times you open your lunch bag and for how long - our gel packs often come back still partially frozen after school!
How do I clean my gel pack?
A quick wipe with some soapy water will keep your ice pack clean. Ensure the ice pack is dry before putting it back in the freezer.

We post Australia Wide via Courier or Australia Post. Shipping service is dependent on order size and delivery location. Orders sent via courier will require a residential address. A tracking number will be provided as soon as your order is dispatched.
Please allow 10 working days for delivery as Australia Post has recently changed their domestic delivery timeframes. If you have any concerns over the status of your parcel, please contact us. Every satchel parcel sent by us is trackable from lodgement to delivery. In the rare circumstance that a parcel is missing, we will launch an investigation with the delivery service to locate it. Investigation times vary by service and the resolution will depend on the report findings.
We are only shipping internationally to New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and the USA customers at this time.
We offer both regular and express shipping for international customers, with shipping rates displayed at checkout, based on the weight and value of your individual order. All international orders are shipped with tracking, using Australia Post.

In the unlikely event your item is defective or damaged on arrival, please contact us within 48 hours and we will do our best to rectify the situation. All items are checked and cross checked before packing.
If you change your mind on an unwashed and unused item you are welcome to post back for an exchange. Once we confirm the item is still in brand new condition, a credit for the item’s value less our restocking fee will be added to your account on our website for you to purchase an exchange. Postage costs associated with returning and receiving the new item, and the item price difference, are wholly the customers. We do not refund for change of mind.
Faulty or incorrect goods are welcomed to be returned for a replacement. Please contact us for details on how to exchange. We have our own returns portal where we can cover the return postage in this instance.

While we endeavour to respond to you within 1 business day, sometimes our warehouse has already fulfilled your order as they begin packing orders at 6am daily. We are unable to cancel those orders that have been fulfilled and dispatched.
Alternatively, if your order has not yet been dispatched, we can cancel your order and issue a gift card for the full order amount and this is valid for 3 years.

A ‘pre-order’ is an item of high demand that is on backorder and is in transit to us from our manufacturer. Pre-order items have an ‘estimated release date’ which is the date given to us by the shipper for when it will arrive to us. The ‘estimated release date’ is advertised on the listing. Stock can arrive earlier, or later, than the ‘estimated’ date that is given. Customs and transit delays are unforeseen and unpredictable but sometimes do occur which can delay items arriving.
Orders containing a pre-order item will be held until the pre-order item is in stock, the entire order will then be sent in the next day’s dispatch. If you would like your other items sent earlier please purchase in two separate transactions.
