Pack Like a Pro: Freezer Hacks That Save Your Mornings

Let’s be honest, school mornings can be chaotic. Between getting everyone dressed, packed and out the door, there’s not always time to think about what’s going into the lunch box.

That’s where freezer-friendly lunch hacks come in. A little prep now = way less stress later. And the best bit? These tricks aren’t complicated - they’re real-world, parent-approved ways to make lunch packing faster, easier, and still fun.

And with Frugal Feb officially kicking off in our Montii Crew Facebook group, there’s no better time to fill that freezer!
Week 1 is all about making the most of what you’ve got batch, freeze, and please.

Freeze Fresh Sandwiches

Yes, sandwiches can be made ahead and frozen! Just skip watery fillings (like lettuce or tomato) and opt for freezer-friendly combos like:

  • Ham and cheese

  • Vegemite and butter

  • Cream cheese and jam

Wrap them in baking paper, pop them in a container or reusable pouch, and freeze. In the morning, grab and go - they’ll be thawed by recess!
