Frequently Asked Questions

What materials is your drinkware made from?
All of our drinkware is made from premium, food-safe materials and every piece passes LFGB certification testing. If you’d like to dive deeper into the specifics, you’ll find all the details under the “Nitty Gritty” tab on each product listing.

How long do they stay hot or cold for?
Our drinkware is made with double wall insulated stainless steel, which means no condensation on the outside and reliable temperature control inside. Performance does vary depending on the product, so you’ll find exact hot and cold timeframes on each listing.

What sizes are available?
We’ve designed drinkware for the whole family, with sizes ranging from 350ml through to 1L. Not sure which size is right for you? Take a look at our Drinkware Size Guide to help you choose.

Do they fit in car cup holders?
Car cup holders can vary, so it’s always best to check your car and refer to the “Nitty Gritty” tab on the product listing for exact base measurements. As a guide, most bottles with a base diameter under 7.6cm will fit standard cup holders, including most of our small and medium bottles with a bumper.

Do they fit inside a school lunch bag?
Because our bottles are insulated, they’re designed not to need packing inside a lunch bag to keep drinks cold. If you’d still like to fit one in, we recommend choosing a small size. Be sure to check the “Nitty Gritty” tab on both the bottle and the bag listings to confirm fit. You can also check out our comprehensive Bag Size Guide for extra help.

What’s different about the Fusion Range?
Our Fusion Range is all about mix and match fun. You can create endless colour combinations and easily replace parts if needed. All Fusion bases are compatible with all Fusion lids, giving you plenty of flexibility. Just keep in mind that Fusion lids and bases are designed exclusively for the Fusion Range and are not interchangeable with other MontiiCo products.

Are they dishwasher safe?
Always. Every single product in our range is dishwasher or machine washable because we know you don’t have time for handwashing. For exact care specifications, check the “Nitty Gritty” tab on each product listing.

How do I clean the bottle and lid properly?
Most of the time, popping your drinkware in the dishwasher is all you’ll need. If you’d rather wash by hand, use hot soapy water and a gentle cleaning brush. Our straw cleaners are perfect for reaching tricky corners — you’ll find them under Replacement Parts. Some people like to use bicarb soda for a deeper clean, though you shouldn’t need to if your bottle is washed regularly.

What’s the best way to store my stainless steel drinkware?
For the best care, store your bottle with the lid off and make sure it’s completely dry before putting it away in the cupboard.

Can I put them in the freezer?
No. Our drinkware isn’t designed to go in the freezer.

Can I put them in the microwave?
No. Stainless steel drink bottles and microwaves don’t mix, so please don’t place your drinkware in the microwave.

Can I use them for fizzy drinks?
You can, but we don’t recommend it. Fizzy drinks create pressure inside the bottle, which can cause leaks and spills when bubbles escape. If you’d like to use your drinkware for sparkling drinks, we suggest choosing a lid with an open straw design, like our Smoothie Cup.

Can I use them for hot drinks?
Yes, our insulated bases will keep hot drinks warm as well as keep cold drinks chilled. The important part is the lid. Lids made for hot drinks are designed with smaller openings to reduce spills, and include valves and holes to release pressure. Using a lid designed for cold drinks, like a Sipper Lid, with hot liquids may cause pressure to build up. Always check the product listing to make sure you’ve got the right lid for hot drinks.

Is the exterior sweat-proof or does it get condensation?
All of our stainless steel drinkware is double-wall insulated, which means no condensation on the outside. If you ever do notice condensation, please lodge a warranty claim.

Do they affect the taste of water or drinks?
No. Our premium stainless steel won’t hold onto flavours or affect the taste of your drinks.

Are the lids interchangeable?
Within the Fusion Range, yes — all lids are designed to work across all Fusion bases. For our other ranges, lids are not always interchangeable. Each product is designed with the best lid for its specific purpose, keeping things simple and reducing the number of pieces that can break. To see what works with what, check the product listing or refer to our Drinkware Size Guide.

What bumpers and accessories will fit my drinkware?
The best way to check compatibility is by using our Drinkware Size Guide. Fusion bumpers are designed exclusively for Fusion drinkware and won’t fit across other ranges.

Where can I buy spare parts if something breaks?
You’ll find all spare parts available to purchase in the Replacement Partssection of our website. If your product has a fault, you can also lodge awarranty claimwith our customer service team.

Are the materials food safe?
Absolutely. Your family’s safety is our top priority, so every product in our range is always food safe and independently certified. Depending on the item, it’s tested to either LFGB or FDA standards. For the full details, check the product listing.

Is the stainless steel drinkware recyclable?
Stainless steel itself is recyclable, but for a product to be processed it usually needs to be made from a single material. This means painted stainless steel bases generally can’t go through standard recycling streams. Instead, we focus on reducing single-use products by creating long-lasting drinkware that’s backed by warranty and supported with replacement parts.

Do they contain lead?
No. None of our drinkware contains lead. We’ve invested in extensive testing and production processes to make sure of it. Unlike cheaper brands, we never use a lead sealing dot in the base of our bottles.

Do they contain BPA?
No. BPA is only found in certain plastics, and none of the lids or plastic components across our range contain BPA.

Are they certified?
Yes. Every product is independently certified to either FDA or LFGB standards, depending on the item. You’ll find specific certification details on each product listing.

How long should a bottle last?
With daily use, you can expect your MontiiCo bottle to last around 6–12 months. We also offer replacement parts to extend the life of your drinkware even further. Warranty periods do vary by product, so for full details visit our Customer Service page.

Do the bottles come with a warranty or guarantee?
Yes. Every bottle comes with a minimum 6-month manufacturer’s warranty. For more information about the warranty on your specific product, please refer to our Customer Service page.

What’s covered under warranty?

This means if your bottle or lid doesn’t perform as it should because of a defect, we’ll replace the faulty part or the whole product depending on the issue. Examples include:- A lid that won’t seal properly due to a manufacturing defect- A base that isn’t holding temperature as promised- A part that arrives damaged or fails earlier than expected despite normal useWhat’s not covered are things that come from everyday wear and tear or accidental damage.
