Fusion Food Jars

Hot lunch tips

  1. Pre-heat your jar by filling it with boiling water for 10–15 minutes prior to use.
  2. Loosely place the lid on top while pre-heating and avoid opening during this time.
  3. While pre-heating, heat your food hotter than you intend to eat it, as it will naturally cool during the day once food is transferred.
  4. Empty the water and immediately fill with HOT food.
  5. Fill the jar as full as possible. Empty space allows heat to escape more quickly.

Important Performance Tip:
We do not recommend storing your Food Jar inside a lunch bag compartment that contains an ice pack. Prolonged exposure to cold elements will significantly impact performance.

Cold lunch tips

  1. Pre-cool your jar by filling it with ice and cold water for 10 minutes prior to use.
  2. Screw the lid on while cooling
  3. Empty and immediately fill with chilled food.
  4. Store away from heat sources where possible.

Cleaning & Care

Every part of our Food Jars — base, lid and accessories — is dishwasher safe up to 70°C.

For best care:

  • Wipe away excess moisture after washing
  • Ensure jar, lid and seal are completely dry before storing
  • We recommend hand washing the lid for longevity

My jar smells: To remove any residue that may be causing smells, we recommend that you pour approximately 1 tablespoon of baking soda into the jar, followed by white vinegar. Let that bubble up. After letting it bubble up for a bit give it a really good scrub using a bottle brush or a scouring pad and rinse with hot water.

Performance Expectations

Our Food Jars have been carefully tested to keep food warm and ready to enjoy at lunchtime.

Food safety guidelines are set by official food standards authorities. As the manufacturer, we design and test our jars to perform as intended. However, food preparation, heating methods and packing are managed by each individual user.

Once food is packed, several factors can affect how long it stays hot, including:

  • Starting temperature
  • Pre-heating method
  • Type and density of food
  • How full the jar is
  • Frequency of lid opening
  • Proximity to cold elements

For best results, always pre-heat your jar and pack food as hot as possible.

To get the best temperature performance from your Food Jar, following the correct preheating and storage tips are key.

These seals are designed to be removable for easy cleaning.

Simply pull out the rubber O-seal, hand wash it, and dry it completely. When placing it back in, make sure the seal is pushed all the way in so it sits flat, this ensures the lid creates the proper leakproof seal.

Yes! Our Food Jars are 100% leakproof. The lid features a removable silicone seal to keep food safely inside (and makes cleaning super easy too!).

It really depends on what you’re packing. Our small Food Jars are just right for little snacks, baby food, or smaller portions. Our large Food Jars are perfect for bigger appetites and hearty meals. Both current sizes are insulated to keep food warm or cool for hours. No nasties here! Our Food Jars are made from vacuum-insulated, double wall stainless steel (18/8 and 304) with food-safe silicone parts. They’re also completely lead-free, so you can feel confident knowing your food is safe and fresh.

Food Jar Warranty

Yes! All MontiiCo products, including our Food Jars, come with a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase. If you ever experience a fault with your product during this time, or for more information about the warranty on your specific product, please refer to our Customer Service page

Our warranty covers any faults that happen during the manufacturing process. So if your Jar or lid isn’t performing the way it should because of a defect, we’ll sort it out.

Depending on the issue, we’ll replace the faulty part or the whole product. Some examples include:

  • A lid that won’t seal properly due to a manufacturing fault
  • A jar that isn’t keeping food at temperature as promised
  • A part that arrives damaged or stops working sooner than expected with normal use

What’s not covered are things that happen through everyday wear and tear or accidental damage. This includes scratches, dents, paint chips, fading, mould caused by improper cleaning, or damage from drops or misuse.
