The new ice pack is certainly an upgrade from the previous ones. For a few times, I have left my lunch bag in the car. The bag had the ice pack and food or drinks. 6 hours later and the food/drinks were still cold! The ice pack was still at least 50% frozen, which means it could have lasted longer. Another time I had some drinks, the new ice pack and an older montiico ice pack together in a larger montiico bag. 5+ hours later sitting in the boot of my car, the older ice pack was pretty much soft but still cold. The new ice pack with aluminium cover was still half frozen. That was amazing and an unexpected comparison. I really just wanted to chill my drinks for a lunch gathering hence I used 2 ice packs. I would buy this new ice pack in aluminium cover. Though I also wished they come in smaller sizes too. Great work!

I first bought my first Montii lunch bag with included ice pack back in 2021, and it’s been a bit of a love affair ever since. So when I say the new aluminium ice pack is the best yet, I mean it.

It still has everything I already know and love about Montii ice packs that almost “magic” ability to stay frozen and keep food cold, even through hot Australian summer days. It genuinely keeps food at a safe temperature all day.

One thing I noticed straight away is that it freezes completely flat and streamlined, which makes it really practical. It slips easily into lunch bags, school bags, and esky-style setups without taking up awkward space.

I don’t just use these for school lunches either. They’ve become part of the family in a way, they come everywhere with us day trips, grocery shopping, sport, basically anything where we need to keep food or snacks cold on the go.

After two weeks of use, I’m genuinely impressed with how durable they feel compared to earlier versions. The performance is consistent and reliable, but the build feels even more robust with that sleek aluminium finish.

Most importantly, the insulation works so well that even the lunchbox itself is cool to touch at the end of the day.

Overall, the ice pack is a simple product but it does its job extremely well and has become a staple in our daily routine. I can say with full confidence that this aluminium ice pack is the best I’ve ever used!

Ice packs are super easy to use, once out the freezer we always put the little black slip case over the ice pack to hold any moister when they start to defrost. I personally feel the aluminium ice pack stays more frozen longer in our house, when comparing the the three ice packs (clear, black, aluminium styles) side by side after being in the kids bags from 8:00am - 4:00pm each day.

Only thing, I did find on the bottom left corner the silver on the aluminium Ice pack had some slight cracking after 3 days of using (Will attach photo of what I mean) but otherwise worked amazing.

We use ice packs in our household for everything school, picnics, work, ant bites, injuries ect. Montii co one’s definitely our favourite ice packs on the market. We love seeing the improvements over the years going from our very first ever Montii co ice packs, the clear ice packs to now many years later the aluminium style.

Overall fantastic product, we definitely recommend and will purchase more for our family of 6.
