Can I use for hot and cold foods?

Yes! Our MontiiCo Food Jars are double-walled, vacuum insulated (also known as thermally insulated), meaning they are suitable for hot and cold food – perfect for year-round use. 

Should I pre-warm my Food Jar?

We recommend pre-warming your Food Jar,  just prior to use with boiling water. Rest the lid on top of the jar and let stand for 10 minutes, then empty.

After pre-warming, fill your food jar and attach the lid for maximum insulation efficiency

Keep lid in place as much as possible to keep your food warm.

WARNING: Always exercise caution with hot foods to avoid burns and scalds.

We do! We understand that parts from your MontiiCo Food Jar may become lost, so have replacement handles, bumpers and seals. You can find them here 

How do I wash my MontiiCo Food Jar?

Wash and rinse your Food Jar thoroughly before first use, and after each use. 

Food Jars are dishwasher safe to 70°C. Be sure to remove the bumper and place it separately to your food jar in the dishwasher, to avoid water getting trapped between the jar and the bumper.

Please refer to the cleaning instructions on your MontiiCo product packaging. Some of our older style Food Jars are not suitable for the dishwasher which can damage the finish and void your warranty - please contact us if you are unsure if your Food Jar is or is not dishwasher safe. 

The seal in the Food Jar is removable, we recommend removing to ensure no food is stuck underneath the seal, before hand washing.

Always store your MontiiCo food jar empty, and completely dry inside. We recommend storing your empty food jar without the lid affixed.

Do I have rust stains on my food jar?

All MontiiCo products are made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. This food-grade stainless steel is highly rust resistant, as well as safe, durable and BPA-free. Sometimes marks can be left behind from the electropolishing process which smooths the surface of the metal as electrolytes left on the surface can turn a rust colour, but this is perfectly normal and harmless.

To remove residue, we recommend that you leave your bottle/cup/food jar to soak overnight with hot water and baking soda or white vinegar. After soaking, give your bottle/cup/food jar a really good scrub using a bottle brush or a scouring pad. Let us know how you get on after trying this method!

Do MontiiCo Food Jars come with a warranty?

Our products are constructed with durable, long-lasting materials to ensure a consistently high level of quality. 

Our products have a manufacturer's warranty of six months. This covers any manufacturing defects such as issues with parts or materials, with proof of purchase. Wear and tear, and care issues (i.e issues NOT caused by a fault in the manufacturing process) are not covered under manufacturer warranty. 

If you find your product has a manufacturing fault, please complete this form as soon as possible, so we can work with you to find a resolution. We want you to love your MontiICo & Lunch Punch products and pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers!

We may ask that you return your items so that we can conduct a thorough investigation before a replacement/refund is given.

What are the Cutlery bands made from? 

Our Cutlery Bands are made from premium food grade, non-toxic and BPA free silicone.

How many pieces of Cutlery does the band fit? 

The Cutlery band fits one piece of our MontiiCo Out and About Cutlery. Some standard household cutlery may also fit the Cutlery Band. The Cutlery opening measures 9 cm.

Can I wash the Wrap Bands in the dishwasher? 

Yes! The Cutlery Bands are dishwasher safe.

What are the Out & About Cutlery Sets made from? 

Out & About Cutlery sets are made from USFDA approved food-grade ABS plastic. They’re BPA FREE, PHTHALATE FREE, LEAD FREE, PVC FREE and 100% Recyclable.

What size are the forks and spoons? 

Out & About Cutlery Sets are carefully designed for little hands and to fit perfectly inside the cutlery loops of our Mini Lunch Bags. The forks and spoons measure 12cm long.

Can I put the Out & About Cutlery in the dishwasher? 

Yep, you sure can! 

What ages are the Out & About Cutlery sets suitable for? 

Our Out & About Cutlery Sets are independently certified for quality and safety, however we do recommend that they are only used with parental supervision for children aged 3 or younger. They are a handy snacking option for children of all ages.
