Before cleaning, we recommend fully disassembling your Food Jar—remove the lid, silicone seal, and any accessories. Every part of your Food Jar is dishwasher safe (up to 70°C). For best results, wipe away any excess moisture once the dishwasher cycle ends, and ensure the jar, lid, and seal are completely dry before re-assembling and storing. This helps keep your Food Jar fresh and ready for your next delicious meal.

For tougher stains or lingering smells, we recommend giving your Food Jar a soak in warm water with a little baking soda or vinegar. You can also make a paste of baking soda and water to gently scrub any stubborn marks inside the jar. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scourers, as these can damage the finish. Once cleaned, rinse thoroughly and allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling and storing.

Using your MontiiCo Food Jar

To get the best temperature performance from your Food Jar, it helps to preheat or precool before filling:For hot food: Fill your jar with boiling water and rest the lid on top (don’t screw it on) for about 10 minutes. Empty the water, then add your hot food. For best results, heat your food hotter than you’d like to eat it, and fill the jar as full as possible (empty space makes food cool down faster). Always take care with hot foods to avoid burns or scalds. For cold food: Fill your jar with ice and water for 10 minutes, then empty and add your chilled food or snacks. This quick step will help keep your meals at just the right temperature for longer!

Absolutely! Here are some handy tips to get the best performance from your MontiiCo Food Jar:

- Keeping food HOT
Preheat first: Fill your jar with boiling water, screw the lid on, and leave it closed for 10–15 minutes. Empty the water just before adding your food. Heat your food well: Make your food hotter than you’d like to eat it, as it will naturally cool a little inside the jar. Fill it up: A full jar stays warmer for longer. Empty space inside will cause food to cool more quickly. Watch the ice packs: If your Food Jar is stored inside or near a lunch bag with an ice pack, it will affect the temperature of your food.Hand wash the lid: To keep it in top condition, we recommend hand washing the lid. - Safety note: Always take care with hot foods to avoid burns and scalds.

- Keeping food COLD
Pre-cool first: Fill your jar with ice and water for about 10 minutes, then empty before adding your cold food or snacks.

Yes! Our Food Jars are designed to keep meals just how you like them:
Our Food Jars are double-walled and vacuum insulated, so they’ve been tested to keep food warm (or cool) for hours of enjoyable eating.

For the best results, we recommend pre-warming your jar with boiling water before adding hot meals, or pre-chilling with ice water before packing cold foods.
