 Last time you got to have a yarn with Steph and Steeny, and now it's time to catch up with Kowen and Emma who work closely together to come up with lots of the content you see on our website and socials! Let's grill 'em! 

Hey there, Kowen! If that is your real name...tell us a bit about what you do at Montii

Ha! You got me. My name's actually Kirsty, but Kowen's an office nickname that's stuck. I do lots of different bits and pieces daily but most of my time is spent taking and editing all our product and lifestyle photos, as well as working on the designs for all our new products. 

How's it going Emma? What do you do at Montii?

Lots and lots of writing, which I love!! Writing has always sort of come naturally to me but writing for a brand like Montii is just so much FUN! You've gotta watch what you say in front of me around here because it will most likely end up in a future blog post or Instagram caption mwahaha. I also work closely with our affiliates and they're a lovely bunch!

What's your favourite Montii product?

Kowen: I love the shopper sets! I use them for absolutely everything, and they make a great gift too! 

Emma: It has to be my Tote Bag! It comes everywhere with me day in, day out! I actually don't even need my handbag anymore, I carry that out of habit. Here's an action shot from a recent picnic!

What are your favourite words to live by?

Kowen: It's all about balance!

Emma: "If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” ― Roald Dahl

Your go-to recipe to take to a BBQ?

Kowen: Potato Salad with Bacon, Spring Onion, Potato, Sour Cream, Best Foods Mayo, Boiled Eggs, Whole Seed Mustard, Salt & Pepper

Emma: I love trying to convert brussel sprout haters with my Brussel Sprout, Parmesan and Pine Nut salad!

If you were reincarnated as an animal what would you choose and why?

Kowen: A bird so I can scare the heck out of Emma and Ness!! Probably a Black Cockatoo coz they are very cool

Emma: Maybe a Quokka, they're always smiling and happiest when eating! 

What 3 things could you not live without in your workday?

Kowen: Coffee, Camera and big screen

Emma: Coffee, Music and Google.

What’s one country you would love to visit and why?

Kowen: Japan.....Snow Monkeys, hot springs, sushi and sakè bars...need I say more?!

Emma: Mexico! I want to try some authentic Mexican Food and some good tequila!

What’s the weirdest thing in your fridge right now?

Kowen: Nothing because I keep eating it all haha!.....Probably Burn Aid or Neck and Shoulder Rub.

Emma: A jade face roller - so soothing! 

Spring, summer, autumn or winter: What’s your favourite season and why?

Kowen: SUMMER by far, the beach is my happy place

Emma: Summer for sure - I left England in search of sun! 

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

Kowen: Cleaning the shower

Emma: Mopping. The majority of our place is tiles and they never seem to be clean. 

What’s your favourite thing about your workplace?

Kowen: I love the team, I love the work, the products - all of the things! Mostly I think I love that this job has allowed me to be more creative again.

Emma: I love that no two days are the same, and love working with a team where all ideas are welcomed!
