The low down on our MontiiCo Insulated Food Jars...

The Montii Insulated Food Jar is ready for lunchtime! #nohungerpangs. Need your winter’s lunch toasty hot or summer salad crispy cold? This is the guy for this job. But don’t take my word for it let me tell you why!

Why is he so RAD?
  • 400ml Capacity
  • Vacuum insulated, double-walled stainless steel
  • Scratch and dent resistant finish
  • Wide mouth opening - easier to get food in and out!
  • Flip-up handle - easy to carry and gives extra leverage when opening
  • Removable (and replaceable!) silicone seals for easy cleaning - no hidden nasties!
  • 5 hours of warming, 7 hours of cooling
  • Silicone bumper base - extra protection against drops, rubs and scruffs (keeps him lookin' mighty fine!)
What if I lose a part of my MontiiCo Food Jar?

Don’t stress! We’ve got you covered. When designing our Food Jars, it was really important to us to make sure all of the pieces were replaceable.

So if the kiddos (of you!) lose any of the parts, you can buy replacement bumpers, lids, handles and seals! You can find them under Replacement Parts on our website (all replacement parts have $2 shipping too - winning!)

Should I pre-warm or pre-chill my MontiiCo Food Jar?

ABSOLUTELY!

When keeping HOT, prewarm your food jar by filling with boiling water and allowing it to sit for 10ish minutes, before adding your food.

Heat your food HOTTER than what you would normally if you were eating straight away.

When keeping CHILL, prechill by adding cold water and ice cubes - tip your chill water into your Montii Bottle before adding your food!

What should I pack in my MontiiCo Food Jar?

We had the same issue as you Carmen (lid getting stuck on) and unfortunately hadn’t been smart enough to do trial run first, so our poor son was starving when he got home from school 🥲
All the teachers had tried to open for him with no success.
We had put chicken nuggets in our one.

So I would love some advice and tips on this too as we haven’t been able to use it successfully yet.

    Thanks

    Hi Montii Co team,

I bought my daughter an insulated food jar for Christmas so that she could take noodles to school for lunch. School starts tomorrow, so we thought we would do a trial run today by putting noodles and boiling water in the thermos, closing the lid, and leaving it until lunch time. The vacuum seal seems to be so good that none of us can now open the food jar. I don’t want to damage the jar by trying some of the tricks I’ve read online about putting the jar in boiling water, but does the team have any tips for opening a food jar that seems to be vacuum sealed? Any tips for future use – e.g. if I should not use boiling water with noodles, or fill it to a certain point – would also be helpful so that my daughter isn’t coming home from school hungry.

Thank you for any help you can provide to free the trapped food jar contents!
    Carmen
