Mocktails with MontiiCo

With the warmer weather and the festive season on its way, we've been getting ready to fill our MontiiCo cups with something a little special!

We wanted these recipes to be refreshing and healthy so we enlisted the help of our friend and nutritionist Zoe Morosini, to create these tasty mocktails.

We've included some suggestions to turn these mocktails into cocktails if that's more your style! All of these recipes make 4 servings - pour in your Montii Cup to keep cool for hours!

Berry Booch Fizz
30gm maple syrup
Juice of 1 lemon
180gms frozen berries
Kefir lime leaves or mint leaves
Ice cubes
350ml cranberry juice
1 tsp rosewater
240ml Kombucha

Method: Shake all ingredients except kombucha, distribute between 4 glasses, top with kombucha. Enjoy cold.
Tip: Swap the Kombucha for Prosecco to make this into a delicious cocktail!

Maple Ginger Spritz
450ml cold brew jasmine green tea
350ml sparkling mineral water
60ml lime juice
30gm maple syrup (or more to taste)
30gm pomegranate seeds or strawberries
4 tsp grated ginger

Method: Shake all ingredients except mineral water, distribute between 4 glasses, top with mineral water. Enjoy cold.
Tip: Skip the mineral water and use 350ml of Prosecco for a more authentic Spritz!

Grapefruit & Good Thymes
4 grapefruits, juiced
80ml thyme simple syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup Rapadura sugar (or white sugar) 3-4 sprigs of thyme)
Crushed ice
Ginger Kombucha or sparkling mineral
Orange rounds or crushed, frozen pineapple for garnish

Method: In a pot on medium heat put a cup of Rapadura sugar and a cup of water together. Stir gently until sugar is dissolved. Bring it to a simmer and add in the thyme. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and remove from the heat and let cool. This is your thyme syrup which you can strain once cool and keep in an airtight container for about a month.
Then shake together the grapefruit juice, crushed ice and thyme simple syrup. Top with ginger kombucha or sparkling mineral water and garnish with orange rounds.
Tip: When you add your crushed ice, throw in some Gin for extra good times!
